• High school had us learning something that wasn't really accepted in college
• Reading the world has a deeper meaning than what's on text, it's deeply analyzing something
• Reading complex text and annotating helped me understand what I was reading better
• Relating a text to something you have experienced
• Idea draft gave me a start on knowing what I was going to write and organized my ideas
• Final draft came together how I wanted it to

Big feelings

• I relived some memories by writing about them even though I had forgotten about them
• I liked how some expressed their vulnerability or their best memories in their writings
• I managed the stress pretty fairly, I made sure to better time manage myself
• I didn't have much difficulty writing it since I love writing, especially if it's about myself 

Big Actions

• I love getting to pick what I want to write about and writing my experiences out
• I thought the 3 draft writing process kind of confused me a little but I managed better after I understood it more
• I went to office hour to make sure I was getting my questions answered
• I made sure to spend hours on my essay and to elaborate on it and put all my effort into it

Big Revisions

• Past revisions in hs were not helpful at all since students didn't really read your essay compared to in college
• I took the feedback I got seriously and worked accordingly to it
• Prof. Dan's feedback was very helpful in helping me write my essay better and I was really appreciative of that
• I spent about 3 hours on revisions and making changes because I really wanted to get everything right
• I'm proud of how my essay came out now

Big results 

• I feel like a little bit of weight is taken off of my shoulders
• Going to have less worries
• Still have other hw I must complete so I won't be able to relax as much as I would like

Something I learned about myself is that I like writing about something of my choice. Having that sort of freedom allowed me to think more creatively without having blocks to my creativity. I felt like I could write about anything and that would be fine. I also noticed that I tend to not stress out much about an essay when I know I don't have SPECIFIC requirements that I have to comply to. There wasn't anything major that was requested of us to write about, it was mostly just writing about our experiences however we wanted but just to make sure we included quotes from Freire. Also knowing that I was going to be getting feedback from my peers and from my professor reassured me that I would be getting help to write my essay. Getting those revisions helped me focus more on my essay and I took a big portion of time revising it to my pleasure. Now I can finally have one less thing to worry about
